Joseph K. Ice - Fine Art Studio - Granbury, Texas
Joseph K Ice has always displayed an aptitude for visual expression in many different mediums. He began to study painting at the age of 15 from Francis at the Art Cache. Then he continued his studies of art fundamentals under Mike Tabor, Kermit Olsen, and Teresa Green. After that he attended the School of Art Institute of Chicago under the supervision of Mathew Cherry.
Joseph does paintings, illustrations, and sculptures, both large and small. His style leans more to classicism and a traditional perspective of his subject matter. He is also influenced by impressionistic style, which is subtly shown in certain paintings. He has often said, "Photography is wonderful, but a painting should look like a painting."
Joseph now takes on commissions regularly, and always manages to impress.
"Life is not easy for any of us. But what of that? We must have perseverance and above all confidence in ourselves. We must believe that we are gifted for something, and that this thing, at whatever cost, must be obtained."
